Project Bow Titus, Part Three: Tom and the yellow bow tie!

Meet Tom!

Well, actually Tom came to meet me at my work this week.

He's a very cheerful special events coordinator
and he was super-duper stoked to share his favorite yellow bow tie with me!
(He very kindly helped me put it on.)

Tom says: "A true Southern gentleman ALWAYS wears a bow tie!"

(I noted that in my new book "Titus's Guide for Dapper Dressing".)

What does a "Special Event Coordinator" do, you ask?
Well, I asked Tom the same thing, because I was very intrigued. I am always looking for new careers to peruse, and special events coordinating might just be right up my alley!

He told me: "If you are having an event, definitely call me because I'll arrange anything from tap dancing nuns arriving at your soiree in a hot air balloon, to live giraffes at your birthday party!"
Then he gave me a big, hearty laugh.

He's cool, isn't he?

Nice to meet you, Tom, and thanks so much for sharing your favorite bow tie with me!

xoxo TITUS

PS: We should mention that during the day, Tom functions as the much loved Executive Administrator at the
Village at Gordon House.
Thanks again Tom!

Cupcakes!!!!!!!!!!

Who makes the best-est cupcakes, like, EVER?
Well, our aunt Dotty at Cappellino's Crazy Cakes does, don't you know?

Yesterday my buddy Lincoln invited me down there to check out his favorite, the Lemon Drop.
YUM! It's a winner!
I give it four paws of approval!

I was so excited about that cupcake, I gave aunt Dotty a big kiss as a thank you!

See you there next time! I'm headed back soon for some macaroons!

Project Bow Titus Part Deux: Bill and my favorite orange bow tie.

You know what's the biggest compliment of them all? (And you know I like to think BIG!)
When your really-really cool friends want to borrow your favorite bow tie, that's what!

Meet Bill. As you can tell he's a really snazzy dude. He owns a hair studio and he's one of C-Ville's best hair stylists -- the ladies swarm in from all over Virginia for his magic touch.
(I might have to let him coiff some of my fluff one day!)
Last week he asked me if he could borrow my awesome orange tie for a special occasion.
What do you think, does he look as fantastic with it as I do?
(I say: pretty darn tootin' close!)

xoxo TITUS

Remember: if you'd like to have your special bow tie featured on Project Bow-Titus,
send it along with a photo or your story to La Linea Bella ! or contact us via e-mail!

Project Bow Titus, Part One: Edwin Higgins.

Here I am with my friend Will.
Will and I are sharing a very special bow tie that belonged to Will’s grandfather, Edwin Higgins. Edwin wore bow ties just about every day and was a truly dapper dresser.
Will only knew his grandpa for six months before he passed.
So today Will and I have collaborated: we have laboriously tied this special yellow and blue bow tie and are wearing it to honor the memory of Edwin.
Don’t we both look super handsome?
I have the feeling grandpa would give young Will a big thumbs up and say:

"Well done, guys!"

First feature is under way!

Our first feature is under way! Can't wait to show it off.

After all: who rocks this accessory better than I do?

Join us for Project Bow-Titus, a collaboration between me and the talented eye at Sheridan Avenue Studios!

Send me a special bow tie with a story and it will be featured here, artfully photographed by artist Kay Taylor and modeled by none other than moi!

I'll also be headed out soon to show you some of my favorite places around the 'Ville.
I can see that some of you are not from around here, but you have to see this place, it's amazing!

So stay tuned and I'll see you soon!

The Bow-Titus Project

Do you love bow ties as much as I do?
I'm sure by now you know they are my favorite accessory. (And my most dignified one.)
I just can't get enough of them, and they do really look great on me, don't you think?

Check out my Bow-Titus page
for a chance to have your favorite bow tie (and it's story) featured here on the blog and on my Facebook page -- artfully modeled by me: Titus!

We're calling it the Bow-Titus Project.

It could be a hand me down with a really cool story, it could be new, it could be vintage, it could be wild, it could be sparkly, it could be specially made for Titus, it could be painted... the possibilities are endless! And you KNOW it will look fabulous if it's worn by Titus!
(Actually, I just found out that someone recently asked to borrow my new orange bow tie: have you ever? That's a huge compliment!)

So: Are you in?

Simply mail your tie or drop it off at Mom's gallery:

McIntire Plaza
Charlottesville, VA 22903

I can't wait! Make it something cool!

xoxo Titus

Happy Independence Day!

I might be German, but there are LOTS of things I love about America!
VERY especially hot dogs. And much more of course. Like that there are so many interesting cultures who make up this country. And who welcome those of us who are not form around here.

And I love running free in these beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains where I live.
Mom says they've been here for a really long time and it's fun to imagine what happened here back then. There is a cool book about where I live (it's called the holler around here). I can't read it but mom and dad like it. It's called The Secrets of the Blue Ridge. It tells you a lot.

So: Happy Independence day and have a really fabulous day of celebrating this great BIG country, eat lots and lots of watermelon and enjoy the fireworks! I'm off to grill some wieners!

xoxo TITUS
